Frequently asked questions

Can a sense of worth this deeply wounded really be healed?
Yes. I say that not as reassurance but from direct experience - my own, and that of the people I've guided through this work over many years. What was shaped by experience can be reshaped. That’s what the Emotional Liberation work is built to do. The nervous system is malleable, and so are the beliefs formed in childhood. The journey from “worthless” to “priceless” takes courage and a method that works at the right level. But hold close to your heart that it’s available to you at any age, regardless of how long you’ve been carrying this.
How does plant medicine support this work?
Plant medicine is always optional - and when it is included, many find that it can be a potent tool. Used with clear intention and skilled support, it can accelerate access to the emotional material that’s been defended against. Cannabis and psilocybin are the medicines I work with, and we cover together everything you need to know before going in.
How is this different from talk therapy?
Emotional Liberation® works at a different level than traditional therapy, and for many people, it reaches places talk therapy never could. It works at the level where patterns actually shift. It engages the nervous system and the body's learned emotional responses, helping unwind reactive cycles that often persist even though you understand them intellectually. The result is change you can feel, especially in situations that used to send you off the rails. I'm a credentialed Emotional Liberation practitioner, plant medicine facilitator, and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, not a licensed psychotherapist. What I offer sits at the frontier of emotional healing, and for many people, it reaches places other modalities never could.
Is low self-worth the same as Shame?
Essentially, yes. Low self-worth is Shame by another name - the felt sense of being fundamentally defective, undeserving, or less than. Guilt says “I did something wrong.” Shame says “I am something wrong.” Low self-worth is rooted there, in that second, deeper place. If you’re wondering whether working with me is a good fit for you, the best next step is a complimentary Discovery Session. You’ll complete a client intake form first, then we’ll meet on Zoom to explore what’s possible.

Ready to stop living at war with yourself?

The Emotional Liberation work goes to the root of low self-worth – not to manage it, but to heal it.

Whether you're hiring for your business or welcoming someone into your personal life (like a housekeeper or caregiver) the stakes go far beyond what's on a candidate's résumé. Even if their experience looks like a perfect match on paper, you still can’t gauge someone’s character or integrity. After years of trial and error, I’ve learned how to recognize the people who genuinely belong.

What Is Your Favorite Form of Deceit To Yourself?

By Becca Williams  |  November 2, 2023  |  Updated July 13, 2026

Many of us claim to cherish honesty, but the truth is, we engage in various forms of dishonesty regularly. Research indicates that, on average, we will tell lies (including white lies!) approximately every half-hour during conversations.  These lies are often not deliberate as we've developed patterns of concealing or altering our genuine inner feelings – both to others and to ourselves and the lack of honesty can undermine our relationships.
