Frequently asked questions

What if I have a difficult experience?
Challenging moments are a natural part of conscious cannabis work, and an expected one. They don’t mean something has gone wrong. They often mean something important is surfacing.
Is cannabis legal where you work?
I work primarily in Portugal, where cannabis for personal use has been decriminalized since 2001. I also work online with clients in jurisdictions where cannabis is legal. It is always your responsibility to be aware of the laws in your own location.
I use cannabis recreationally. Is that different from what you do?
Yes, significantly. Recreational cannabis and conscious cannabis work share the same substance but almost nothing else. What makes the difference is intention, preparation, dosing, and the container the experience is held in. While recreational use can offer relaxation, pleasure, and creativity, conscious cannabis work is a different conversation entirely. One that moves toward what has been avoided, toward what is difficult to feel, toward the emotional material that has been waiting for the right conditions to surface. If this resonates for you and you’re wondering whether working with me is a good fit, the best next step is a complimentary Discovery Session. You’ll complete a client intake form first, then we’ll meet on Zoom to explore what’s possible.

Ready to explore the third wave?

Conscious cannabis work begins with intention. The Elevation Ceremony is the gentlest way in, free, monthly, and open to everyone.

Is THIS the Secret Emotion That You Struggle With?

By Becca Williams  |  June 24, 2026  |  Updated June 25, 2026

There's an emotion I see affecting countless people, yet few recognize it in themselves. That's because it rarely looks like a problem. In fact, it often disguises itself as ambition, responsibility, and success. For years, I had no idea it was running my life. Maybe you'll recognize something familiar in my story.

I get letters: Processing emotions “practices”.

By Becca Williams  |  May 28, 2026  |  Updated May 29, 2026

When NB wrote to me after an Elevation Ceremony describing change on three levels - physiological, psychological, and spirit/emotional, I knew I had to share it. This is what we're actually doing in the work: not suppressing, not bypassing, but moving what's stored. Here's what that looks like from the inside, and why it keeps working long after the practice ends.

UnMeditation + Cannabis = Success

By Becca Williams  |  April 29, 2026  |  Updated July 16, 2026

If sitting still on the cushion makes your mind louder, you’re not alone. For many, quiet mindfulness meditation amplifies what’s unresolved. There’s another very effective way forward… an active, guided approach that helps you move what’s stuck, often with cannabis used consciously, to soften resistance and deepen the work.

Microdosing with psilocybin is not the ultimate be all, end all!

By Becca Williams  |  April 22, 2026  |  Updated May 5, 2026

Microdosing psilocybin or LSD might feel good on the days you take it. But that’s where it ends, according to the largest microdosing study yet. No breakthrough. No lasting shift. Just a temporary lift that fades as quickly as it comes. The same pattern shows up with full psychedelic journeys too. So if the change doesn’t stick… what are alternatives?

Using Plant Medicine For Trauma And True Emotional Freedom

By Becca Williams  |  March 19, 2026  |  Updated May 15, 2026

Cannabis helped me cope long before I understood how it could also help me heal. I was able to side-step Valium and SSRIs - but the trade-off was a secret life that had a character all its own. Navigating an illegal environment just to access my medicine. And what changed everything was learning to ultimately work with it consciously.

Emotional Liberation

Keep the pain, lose the suffering

By Becca Williams  |  December 19, 2025  |  Updated May 29, 2026

“Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.” This is a phrase that gets tossed around spiritual circles like it’s self-explanatory. Spoiler: it’s not. Most people nod wisely and then immediately go back to suffering because nobody breaks it down. But I believe it’s vitally important for all of us to know that there is an alternative to suffering. Because if we actually understand what this phrase means it can completely change the way we move through emotional pain. “Pain is inevitable” means that emotional pain will happen, no matter what you do.

A little woo-woo… a lot of planetary realignment.

By Becca Williams  |  December 11, 2025  |  Updated May 29, 2026

We talk a lot about saving the Earth … but let’s be honest: the Earth has been through worse. Humanity isn't going to "destroy" the planet. If we continue to push the ecosystem beyond its tolerance, Earth won't blink. It will simply buck us off, along with every other species that can't adapt.

Pass the Gravy – Hold the Cannabis

By Becca Williams  |  November 26, 2025  |  Updated May 29, 2026

About a decade ago, living in the cannabis wonderland of Denver – back when legalization there was still new and exciting (and yes, it’s still exciting), I saw a wave of “cannabis catering” take off. Full-course infused dinners. Creative, thoughtful chefs pushing the boundaries of what cannabis and cuisine could do together. These days, it appears the concept has caught on. According to Bloomberg news cannabis is not only showing up at holiday gatherings, it's replacing alcohol in some households.

Psychedelics Open the Door – What Comes Through Is Up to You

By Becca Williams  |  November 20, 2025  |  Updated May 29, 2026

Psychedelics can open remarkable doors, but the nervous system decides what happens next. Insight alone can’t unwind patterned survival responses; only practice can. When the body learns steadiness, emotional waves land differently, and clarity takes root. It's the quiet work that makes transformation real – long after the medicine fades.
