A Plant in a Different Context
Healing old patterns often begins with a simple, honest question: what am I ready to see, feel, and move?
A newcomer’s honest question cracked something open: what really happens during an Elevation Ceremony? Step inside a grounded, heart-opening practice that pairs breath, sound, and gentle movement with optional cannabis – not to drift away, but to meet yourself with clarity.
When I mentioned last week that I’m planning an Online Elevation Ceremony for later this month, one of our community members, Alex, who’s new to my work, asked:
“Is it possible to let me know what the cannabis elevation ceremony entails? I am very tempted as the world of psychedelics is very new to me!!”
First of all, thank you, Alex! Sometimes I forget that what’s become second nature to me may sound like mysterious code to someone just beginning to explore plant-based healing. So let me break it down clearly, especially for anyone else who’s quietly wondering the same thing.
Healing old patterns is at the heart of everything I do, and the Elevation Ceremony is one of the most direct, accessible doorways into that work I’ve ever found.
Most of us are carrying emotional weight we didn’t consciously choose: old responses, old stories, old ways of protecting ourselves that served us once and now just keep us stuck.
To start: this ceremony does not involve psychedelics in the classic sense – no ayahuasca, mushrooms, or ego-dissolving journeys into the galactic void. What we’re working with here is cannabis, a plant most people already know, but in a completely different context: not recreational, and not passive.
If you’re curious about how plant medicine fits into this kind of intentional work, conscious cannabis as spirit medicine is a good place to start.

Breath, Movement, Release
In this ceremonial container, cannabis is a gentle, heart-opening ally. When used intentionally, it helps thin the veil between your conscious thoughts and your emotional truth. It doesn’t transport you out of your body, it helps you land in it with more clarity, softness, and honesty.
When you finally feel safe in your body, it is so much easier to look at your own emotional triggers without getting scared.
My Elevation Ceremony is a 75 – 90 minute guided experience that pairs ancient Eastern practices employing “industrial strength” active and expressive meditation elements (we call them “kriyas”) supported with my potent verbal prompting to help surface and release emotional blocks, old patterns, or whatever mental noise is knocking loudest on your head.
Participants can choose to incorporate cannabis into their experience, with different strains and types depending on their familiarity and intention. You can also choose to work with only CBD, or no plant medicine at all – the ceremony meets you exactly where you are.

Meet Yourself Where You Are
When you register, you’ll receive access to two short videos that guide you in preparing for our time together – helping you tune in to whether including cannabis feels right for you, and if you choose to, what kinds to consider and how much. This is not about escaping. It’s about deepening. You remain aware, grounded, and very much here. Staying fully present like this is often what leads to a very real and grounded spiritual awakening.
That grounded awareness is actually what makes healing possible. Not the plant itself, but the intentional container around it. I’ve seen people arrive carrying something they’ve been hauling around for decades, and leave feeling lighter.
Not because it magically disappeared, but because they finally got to look at it directly, with support. If you’ve ever wondered whether a spiritual awakening through inner work is something you’re ready for, this ceremony is a gentle place to find out.
So, I invite you to join us for a complimentary, online Elevation Ceremony. We’ll meet whatever’s ready to be seen and moved – together.
And if you want to go deeper into what the science is saying about this kind of work, this APA piece on psychedelic integration and emotional healing is worth a read.
The event is free, and everyone on the event registration list will be able to access the replay for five days after the ceremony.
With Love and Gratitude,
Becca
