Yes, so wonder if I told you that microdosing is only part of the equation for emotional healing? In our “take-a-pill-and-feel-better” culture so many people it appears are doing microdosing and expecting magic!
Those forums, like the sub-Reddit microdosing and the shroomery forums receive hundreds of anecdotal reports from ordinary people sharing their microdosing experiences. Now remember anecdotal reports have no scientific verification or methodology to back them up.
And ideally, in science, to confirm certain effects, studies take place – randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled clinical trials.
And while those are going on, the growing desire to self-medicate with microdoses of psilocybin mushrooms is WAY out in front of the scientific research documenting “this definitely works, that doesn’t work.” But that doesn’t matter to countless people… Because psilocybin has a strong safety profile, people are more emboldened to try out this approach without the science behind it.
So they’re taking tiny amounts of psilocybin for out-of-control emotions… to reduce anxiety and irritability, relieve depression and boredom and over all wanting a greater sense of wellbeing… that’s what we all want, right?
But the trip reports in the forums are all over the map… “it worked for me,” “it didn’t work for me,” “it went the other direction and made me feel worse!”
So as an emotions therapist who’s including microdosing as an optional part of my emotional release method, here’s what I believe is going on. In my work, it’s important for us to call up the emotions that are bothering us, tormenting us… whether it’s depression, or anxiety, low self-image, sadness, anger – whatever it is, we need to be in touch with it so we can release it. And the judicious use of both cannabis and psilocybin microdosing support this process.
So what I believe is happening with so many who are microdosing psilocybin, is that the plant medicine is doing its job in bringing up the emotion so you can process it… but people don’t know how to process it and it’s often not working for them or they’re going off the rails.
I believe microdosing is only part of the equation… that you need specific tools to actively use the plant medicine to optimize your healing experience. And that’s what we do in my Emotional Liberation method. In other words, microdosing psilocybin is part of the plan, it’s not THE plan. And all components of the plan are essential to healing the emotions that are undermining your life.
