Neuroscience it’s not a sexy subject – well, maybe for bio-science nerds… thank god we have them.
Because they’re the ones leading the way in helping us understand our brains and why meditation works, why cannabis works and why psychedelics work – to effectively help us break patterns and behaviors that are undermining our lives. And at the same time build self-confidence and emotional resilience.
What we know right now is that these tools – meditation, cannabis and psychedelics have a very positive affect on parts of the brain, collectively called the “Default Mode Network,” or the “DMN.”
In easy-to-understand, simplistic terms, the Default Mode Network is the culprit behind why, when the DMN is active, it can spin your brain around in loops where you’re continuously thinking about negative events in the past or in the future. And when it comes to anxiety, depression, self-doubt, ruminating… it can really work overtime.
And these runaway thoughts essentially hold your brain hostage and reduce your ability to focus on achieving your goals… getting what you want in life. Now, yes, the Default Mode Network, when it’s not out of control, it serves an important biological survival function – that is to make us aware of danger in our environment. But it’s way out of wack in our busy, distracted culture and we essentially become slaves to these run-aways concerns.
That’s where the tools of meditation, cannabis and psychedelics – specifically my interest, which is microdosing of psilocybin mushrooms… these approaches serve to, and again, I’m simplifying the science, but the research shows that they can lift this heavy veil, if you will, of the Default Mode Network. And have the ability to change the balance of brain activity so you can become more clear, more present and begin navigating in the flow.
Wow! Right? So I’ve been pairing my emotions recovery programs with cannabis for years for this reason. And I’m also now inviting those who are micro-dosing psilocybin mushrooms to experience this. When paired with a consistent therapeutic setting and approach as we do in my master courses, the outcomes and emotional healing can be remarkable.
A word here, I like the aspect of micro-dosing psilocybin because it’s so gentle… you don’t have to have a full-blown mushroom trip with the anxiety you might have going into it and that leaves you worn-out and recuperating for days following. But tiny amounts of the substance on a regular basis have the potential to reduce anxiety and irritability, relieve depression and boredom, increase creativity and sociability and provide a greater overall sense of self-assurance.
I want you to experience this. I have a monthly event, Advanced Techniques to Strengthen Your Mind, Brain and Nervous System that I want to invite you to experience it or continue to experience – as many do. It’s my gift to our community. You can drop down below this video for the link to learn more and register.
So a relaxed energy is the objective – imagine being calm yet invigorated, without anxiety, self-doubt or any other troubling emotions. This is called being in the flow. And I believe with a skilled and trusted guide, like myself, you can begin to experience life – as you haven’t in a long time – or maybe never. If you have thoughts about all this, drop down to the comments section and let me know.
But definitely jump in for this one. Come, enjoy it and see what it feels like to let go of the distressing thoughts that are knocking loudest on your head and heart. If you can’t attend live, register anyway and experience the event through the recording.
I’m Becca Williams and I want you to lead your most magnificent life and I want to help you do that.
