A Death that Wasn’t Just a Death

It stunned me! Even me – a seasoned TV news producer back then who chased ruin and disaster like it was a showcase of Eleusinian Mysteries. In my line of work, I was calloused and mostly dispassionate about the legion of repugnant things we covered.

But this. This event found me dumbfounded… not because it comprised senseless acts of violence and depravity or political intrigue and insult. No, it was a true spiritual realization when I was, at best all those many years ago, an agnostic (i.e. “something must be out there calling the shots”).

What struck me so profoundly was a death.

Now, in the TV news business I’d covered and reported on countless deaths – (the modern adage in TV: “if it bleeds, it leads” really is true). But this death was a standout – so simply executed, yet so spectacular in its mystical scope.

It was a car accident. Actually, it was a car and a semi-trailer truck accident – but there was never a collision. No impact between them. No engagement. In fact, the semi never crossed paths with the car.

The driver of the car, a middle-aged woman, was driving on a huge interstate spaghetti junction with layers of intersecting roads. She was moving along one of the lower roads and a semi-trailer truck was traveling on one of the elevated roads of this massive interchange.

It was reported that a bolt on a wheel of one of the semi’s tires came loose and went spinning and ricocheting throughout this spaghetti junction. It finally plummeted through the woman’s windshield, a lethal projectile that hit her in the head killing her instantly.

A turn of belief

As I collected the facts and details of the incident, I was dumbfounded by the precision of the “hit” and the infinitesimal chance of something like this ever happening.

It was that day that my agnostic bent took a turn toward the mystical, realizing that the intersection of destiny and Free Will is a spaghetti junction in and of itself. We have no say over when our time will come BUT our Free Will can ready us for the inevitable. That is, we do have a choice (i.e. Free Will), in how we navigate the uncertainty in our life, including when we’re gonna be plucked from this planet.

There’s the miserable way – that keeps us scared and in a state of heightened emotions. And there’s the healthy centered way that can usher us through all of life’s various uncertainties (even death) with grace and perseverance.

Adulting Adventure with Active Meditation & Cannabis Plant Medicine

If you’re being drawn to exploring a new way of living I invite you to try this out.

I call it: “Adulting Adventure” – yes, you need to be 21+ to join us, but “adulting” also means you’re at a place in your life where you’re asking “How do I make sense of it all?” You have all the answers inside of you and that’s where we go during our time together – a deep dive that will put you in touch with your Higher Self to meet and release what’s knocking loudest on your head. It’s my gift to our awakening community.

Our gatherings are a safe and nurturing environment where we can be ourselves and feel welcomed among like-minded others. It’s the best – as it gets so tiring pretending that we’re not feeling what we’re feeling. We gotta feel it so that we can release it.

If you haven’t connected with me yet to register for Thursday night’s gathering here’s the link. (If you have, you’re set to go!)

Make sure you create a comfy private place for yourself and have your cannabis by your side if you’ll be partaking. Get ready for a deep dive that will put you in touch with your Higher Self to meet and release what’s knocking loudest on your head.

With Love,

Becca
